Bostock Singers are a 60 strong, mixed voice choir (SATB) based in Hartford, near Northwich, Cheshire.

Founded in 2009, our membership is drawn from all over Cheshire.

We would usually meet to rehearse on Tuesdays during term time at Hartford Methodist Church. However, throughout the pandemic we have continued to rehearse virtually on Zoom.

Directed by Miss Nicola Howbrigg and accompanied by Miss Alison Richards, our repertoire is wide ranging from musical theatre and pop through to classical and comedy. Nic and Ali challenge us and we work hard but there is also a lot of fun, laughter and friendship.

We perform concerts at St John’s Church in Hartford and Hartford Methodist Church. We also enjoy taking part in various events around the county including ‘Christmas at Capesthorne’.

In 2018 we also took part in our first competition at Newcastle-under-Lyme and then again in 2019 in Llandudno.

Each year we support a charity, raising funds through concerts and carol singing. This year we have raised funds for Parkinson’s UK. This is a charity which we have experience of as some of our members are living with the condition. This years fundraising total currently stands at just over £2500.

We are a very friendly group who are keen to welcome new members. You will preferably, but not essentially, have some experience and music reading ability. We will provide a supportive atmosphere for you to enjoy singing.
