News and Concert Reports of the Bostock Singers
Concert at Hatford Methodist Church, 1st July 2014
MUSIC from The Beatles to Mozart and Karl Jenkins to Oscar Hammerstein was performed in a free summer concert at Hartford on 1st July, followed by a strawberry tea.
The concert was a great success, with some new music added since the last concert and we received some very flattering comments from the audience who enjoyed the concert and the strawberry tea afterwards!
Fundraising concert at St Peter's Church, Little Budworth - 9th May 2014
The Bostock Singers attended St Peter's Church in Little Budworth for a concert in aid of the Church's fundraising.
The evenging was packed full of songs from the choir, interspersed with music from Sir John Deane's sixth form students.
The choir songs were:

Something inside so strong
Both the choir and the students were very well received by a packed audience, raising considerable funds for the church.
Liverpool Crowne Plaza Hotel - 29th March 2014 - in aid of Alder Hey Childrens Hospital, Liverpool
We were invited to sing to welcome guests attending a dinner in support of Alder Hey hospital, Liverpool

Everyone in the choir enjoyed the singing.
Our final concert of the year was at Hartford Methodist Church on 9th December where we sang a variety of carols and christmas songs.
The church was packed to capacity, and the audience joined in with some of the carols, and were also entertained by some readings and poetry.
We had visitors from as far as Wigan and Nantwich. One audience member said that they could have listened to us all night!
A small group sang at Great Warford Baptist church later on the 6th where we lead the singing for the annual Carols on the Green.
It was a lovely evening of carols, readings and stories, with carols sung in between.
We also entertained as people queued for hot soup and drinks afterwards.
Hartford Victorian Christmas Fayre on the 6th December was our next carolling.
We sang outside the church from about 2.00 until 4.00. We even had time to 'flashmob' the shoppers with a renition of 'Joy to the world'.
We were singing at Capesthorne Hall on Saturday 29th November as part of the hall's Christmas festivities.
The house was open for three days from the 28th November with craft and food stalls as well as entertainment in various rooms throughout the house.
We were singing throughout the afternoon in the drawing room. The carols and songs included:
Joy to the World, Coventry Carol, The First Noel / Pachelbelís Canon, Infant Holy, Deck the Halls, Silver Bells
Hark the Herald, O Holy Night, Jingle Bells, In the Bleak Midwinter, Ding Dong Merrily on High, God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen
Away in a Manger, O Come all ye Faithful, Still ,still, still, Deck the Halls, Itís Beginning to Look Like Christmas
It was a great atmosphere, and the choir were in full voice for the afternoon, receiving many kind comments on the performance.
